by Andrew
After reading many articles on lupus, here’s one I thought i would share. As with many health concerns, ridding your diet of too much animal proteins seems to be prevalent.

Here’s another great organization I’d like to put out there! Battling Life Together-BLT

by Andrew

I love working as a network with other smaller organizations that help folks living with cancer. Here’s a great one that we worked with in August 2013 at our JUICING Jamestown event. Give their Facebook page a view and like them.

Here is another small organization in NC like The Mama Edna Project that does BIG things for folks with cancer. Please like and share their page and help if you can. Battling Life Together – BLT provides care baskets to those in need.

Battling Life Together provides free comfort packages to cancer patients. We strive to make a difference in the community and to support and provide a smile to those in need. We also take into consideration the caregivers who stand by their side.

Here’s a few nutritional tips for children with leukemia. Add juicing for a big boost of nutrition. Add wheatgrass powder or juice for huge healing properties and anti-nausea. Add candied ginger to help with nausea and healing properties as well as a little sweet treat when sugary desserts feed cancer and leukemia.

This course is not a certification program, but it is a step in that direction. The Gerson Therapy is a non-medical, alternative treatment program for cancer and other chronic illnesses involving juicing, healthy, clean plant-based eating and much more.  The course runs from Feb. 20-22, 2014.

What our project aims to do:

by Andrew

Here at The Mama Edna Project, our goal is not only to raise funds to buy juicers and produce and other parts of our “tool kit” (see archived post entitled “Tool Kit”), but we also read a lot out there about integrated nutritional ideas for folks with cancer. We try to link some of the most interesting articles, books, and resources here on our blog as well as on our Facebook page. Please feel free to contact any of us via email with any questions and we will try to direct you to the best resource.
