A year ago, The Mama Edna Project ran to the aid of DeEtta Wood to help her fight her cancer, taking her a juicer and the entire “tool kit”. Her battle continues. In November, family and friends are coming together through http://www.teamdeetta.org/ to help raise funds to help her battle this cancer. Our Spring fundraiser JUICING JoCO!!!!! is almost here!

On Sunday, April 27th, 2014, please help us raise awareness and funding for financially disabled folks living with cancer and other degenerative disease. Double Barley Brewing, located at 3174 U.S. 70, Smithfield, NC 27577 will be hosting this event. They are donating a portion of ALL pint beer sales to our project. Please come out in support of The Mama Edna Project and help us honor the life and legacy of Mama Edna Honeycutt McLamb as she felt strongly about “paying it forward” in any way she could. There will be great live music from great triangle musicians including Mike Edwards, Emma Davis, and Chrystal Dail Leonard and more. Stop by the juicing table to see Andrew Klutz and Timothy McLamb, founders of the project, for tasty, refreshing and cancer-fighting juices as well as pick up literature from The American Cancer Society about cancer prevention and treatment. Our First Fundraiser in August 2013

Our friend Crystal McCracken, owner of Crystal’s Cool Collections in Jamestown, N.C., hosted our first fundraiser in August of last year. She pulled together several vendors and food trucks, as well as a day full of musicians and fun activities that made the event a huge success! We will be announcing soon our next fundraising event to be held around Mama Edna’s birthday in March. Keep checking back to find out all the details.
