As we approach the 4th anniversary of Mama Edna’s passing on May 2nd, we are looking at launching a new education program called Gardening for Cancer. With the help of several books and websites, we aim to help financially disabled cancer victims not only with a juicer and a “tool kit”, but also help with creating a small garden space. This garden will create food, fun and flowers for the person with cancer as well as allow time for him/her to spend outdoors in nature. According to research, gardening can help reduce stress levels while going through cancer treatments, while giving time to spend in the fresh air and sun, a major source of vitamin D, a much needed nutrient to help regulate stress levels. Yesterday was October 1st and thus began Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Help us in this significant time to raise at least $5000 this month for new and existing clients. We need to continue the #juicingforcancer mission. We see our post about our “TOOL KIT” and how expensive each one is at about $550 per new client initially.

Our resolution in 2016? We want to bring in lots more funding, juicers and produce this year to help folks living with cancer in their efforts to kick cancer to the curb. If you can help, please reach out to us via email at themamaednaproject@gmail.com or via our Facebook page (just click the letter “f” in the circle at the top right of this page, even if you don’t use Facebook). Are you an organic farmer that may be able to donate small amounts to a cancer victim on a regular basis? Or are you a retailer that could provide a juicer? A grocery store that could provide gift cards to buy produce or other healthy food items? Please let us know if you can help.
The Mama Edna Project and Battling Life Together – BLT, are teaming up this holiday season to help at least two families impacted by cancer. We would like to have all donations ready for the families by December 20th. Please read the post that follows. We need cash donations, Target gift cards or grocery store gift cards to meet some very specific needs for these families during the holidays. Please share this post as you can and please donate if you can.
December is upon us and The Mama Edna Project and Battling Life Together aka @LauraBrandiJulie are joining forces this year to provide for a couple of families who are battling Cancer. Together We Can! Together we Will… Make a difference.
We would like to come together as we have in the past and share some love and compassion for these families to remind them they are Never Alone. We would prefer to receive Gift Cards or monetary donations for locations such as Target, Four Seasons’ Mall, Sears, even grocery stores or food chains; locations where the families can make purchases to suit the needs of each family member. These families can really benefit from our help.
If you can help please reach out to us or someone with Mama Edna and we will coordinate the efforts and donations to provide for these families.
We will obtain some specific wish list items and post this information very soon.
It is our goal to provide donated items to the families by December 20th. We hope you can help us provide some comfort to these families who want to have a Merry Christmas with their loved ones.

Today is the day folks! Please join us 12 – 5 at Double Barley Brewing to celebrate the life and legacy of Mama Edna! There will be juicing demonstrations, a jewelry sale of some of Mama Edna’s collection, a silent auction, live music, and fantastic craft beer. All this to benefit The Mama Edna Project to continue helping others in their battle with cancer and other debilitating diseases. I hope to see you there!!
