Gardening for Cancer

by Andrew

We are just starting to read about how gardening can be therapeutic for cancer victims, not only providing fresh, organic produce for juicing, blending and eating, but giving the person something to look forward to everyday. Gardening creates a sense of purpose in an otherwise dark place. We are reading up on Jenny Petersen’s journey in her book called

The Cancer Survivor’s Garden Companion: Cultivating Hope, Healing and Joy in the Ground Beneath Your Feet.

Find it on AmazonSmile and name us as your charity of choice while shopping there.

Here at The Mama Edna Project, we are perfecting our square foot garden space to help teach others how to grow in small spaces and get the nutrition they need and the therapeutic processes of gardening for cancer. Here are some photos of the beginning.
